Schools

The foundation of all of our work starts with teaching every kid to play ultimate. We do this by partnering with schools and gym teachers, who allow our trainers to come into the classroom to teach students how to throw and catch and how to play ultimate. Our three-session program has been designed and fine-tuned to maximize fun, learning, and fair play for every class we teach.

What we provide to partner schools:

• An ultimate instructor who comes in for three sessions per class to teach the kids how to throw, catch, and play ultimate. Our instructors are SafeSport certified with years of ultimate experience and special training on how to teach ultimate to young kids.

• Frisbees for every kid- we will give a frisbee to every student we teach so that they can continue playing at home and with friends. In addition, we will give 25 frisbees to every gym teacher to have for future classroom instruction.

• Organized intramural- we will organize and run a weekly intramural program for kids who want to play more ultimate. The twice-a-week hour-long practices will feature additional coaching and lots of intramural play. Our intramural sessions will run six weeks and will start in the last week of April every spring.

What our partner schools provide us:

• Classroom access- Our instructors need three scheduled indoor gym sessions with each class of students to teach our program sometime in January, February, or March.

• Field space- We will need a grass field to play on starting in the end of April running for six weeks- twice a week for one hour each session.

• Email promotion- In order to let parents know about us, we ask that schools send one email out to a grade-appropriate list with details about our program ahead of our work within the classroom.

That’s it! We’re very easy to work with because we know that our job is to make your job easier. If you would like more details about our program or would like to sign up as a partner school, please contact Shea Gunther at sheagunther@gmail.com.
